The Somaliland-American Friendship Foundation (SAFF) serves as a non-political, not-for-profit making organization providing assistance to the members of Somaliland communities in the United States and other Somalilanders living in Europe, Canada and the United States. The organization is dedicated to freely serve, promote, and tremendously encourage the US government to generously provide assistance to the desperately needed people of Somaliland. The areas in which SAFF focuses its work and tremendously encourages include strong diplomatic relations, security cooperation, good governance, drought relief, food insecurity, water, sanitation, farming, women’s empowerment, disability services, education and health (WASH) infrastructure, homelessness, environment, and meeting basic medical needs as well as providing assistance and support in projects to help in the social and economic development programs. The organization’s vision is an interconnected and accessible range of services that ensures that the less privileged individuals from the Horn of African region have access to the tools and support that they desperately needed to fully integrate and settle successfully into their own communities. However, we aim to provide a link to the local communities and to provide individuals and families with the tools they need to become successful and engaged members of their new communities. We aim to achieve this by bringing together many different communities and other concerned governmental organizations to both coordinate services and present a strong united voice to local, state, and of course, internationally. We also undertake small projects to support and improve the lives of communities in the United States as a whole. This work is undertaken without regards to the clan affiliation of these communities or the political disputes, rivalries and conflicts in which national, regional, and local authorities (political or traditional) may be involved. Work is seriously based on deeply held values and principles. It's essential that our commitment to freely serve our desperately and extremely needed people in Somaliland as a whole is our paramount concern and tremendous priorities. Obviously it’s quite apparent that the people residing in Somaliland has been devastated by a perpetual, devastating and totally unbearable and never-ending drought, hunger, lack of proper sanitation, inadequate infrastructure, and completely a curable diseases combined, that has engulfed with the entire Horn of Africa region for a painful number of years in the process. Somaliland-American Friendship Foundation is in the process of creating a great milestone based on nothing but a tremendous accomplishment. And we possibly intend to step in and yet again, face any challenges ahead in order to embrace a world filled with infinite possibilities. Reaching them all wherever they are and wholeheartedly helping our desperately needed people back home, (Somaliland), is our paramount concern and unshakable principle supported and fully demonstrated by all members of Somaliland-American Friendship Foundation staff. With absolute dedication and total commitment..
